Get Over Overwhelm and STOP Time Management FOREVER!
Do you notice there are times (even in overwhelm) that we feel time management is the solution? When do we really grab hold of ourselves and make it to the finish line without missing it? Stop and ask yourself, what is different about the times I get it right? When do you roll up your sleeves and really pull out of that tailspin called ‘overwhelm’? Well, I suggest it is when we go on vacation, right?
Think about it. When was the last time you missed your vacation because of poor time management? Even to get over overwhelm, failure to plan or being flooded with last minute stuff doesn’t prevent you? Am I right? That ‘ad hoc’ heavy lifting is something you just push through because your vacation is so close you can touch it!
Easier than you think…
Getting over overwhelm is often tied to time management. What if you could stop time management forever? We can only spend our time, never manage it. Time is a commodity and can only ever be spent. When we habitually ignore the inner little voice prompting us to ‘take a step back’ or slow down we can end up in overwhelm. It is then we often spend our time unwisely. Even with the very best intentions, we can get caught in this time trap and end up in overwhelm.
Have you ever said “yes” when you know the answer is really ‘no’? I sure have. There is always a pull toward being everything to everyone when you are running your own business. Each of us has times where we experience the ‘wear and tear’ factor of overwhelm. It often slowly creeps into our psyche, our body, our relationships and our business. Overwhelm is the feeling we get when we’re moving super fast, ignoring what is may be most obvious.
Your Next Step…
